New Chalkboard ahead of our classwork leading up to our Class 2 Nature Camp based upon an introduction to learning about some of the cultures of the Native American and First Nations peoples. This chalkboard was based on the beautiful and poignant art of Kay WalkingStick, exploring the natural landscapes once inhabited by her ancestors.

Seasonal Drawing is back! After a month off, I’m back with a new session for April 2025.

Spring has sprung and we are exploring the vitality and energy that this brings through two studies of the Redstart – a migratory bird that has just arrived back here in England. Join me for a celebration of these wonderful international travellers as we discuss drawing technique when using a reference image as well as exploring some old wax crayons found in a Spring clean! Seasonal Drawing is on the road! This month the drawing will be coming to you from Suffolk in the East of England. We will see what there is to see in this part of the country at this time of year and explore through drawing with wax crayons what is to be found! Imbolc/Candlemas has passed and Winter is surely waning now as we seek to explore what Brigit provides with the onset of Spring.

As it is the half term break from school, the live lesson will be at the slightly earlier time of 4pm-5pm GMT where there will still be some sunlight to guide the way.
